We control the speed and also the torque.  Results from the latest firmware have been amazing.

I find most arms boring and slow with perch-PAUSE-approach-PAUSE-place-PAUSE-retract

In addition to pc software control, we have a record and playback feature, simply push the record button, manipulate the arm,  then run it with the playback multiplier.

It does the 'Aliens' robot knife trick in a very scary way [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suA2Hy-0mxI ]

We are working hard to get this product right and we still have all our 
fingers so far!
