The purpose of this project to create a machine that can act autonomously as well as work under remote control to find and retrieve information and objects in an organic, real-life environment. This project has been in design stages for more than two years. Much of this time was spent learning about and constructing an agile control system that would be robust enough to handle complicated calculations.
